In support of our local book store, Lyon Books, 135 Main St., and their support of local authors, they are selling copies of Katydid.

There are 5 copies on consignment at $5 each, with a 60/40 split. (if they sell I’ll about break even on each one) Below are some photos of the book on the “New Arrivals” table. Eventually they will be moved to the Local Authors section.
I don’t expect them to sell. It’s just cool.
I’ve also opted in for their Holiday advertising package with other local author books in a large ad in the Chico News and Review weekly and Chico Enterprise-Record daily. Those will be out sometime in early December. I’ll post about them when they do.
Sunday, December 14, from 2 pm to 4 pm, will be a Holiday Author Open House event I will attend as a “Guest Author” where local authors get together and meet and greet, and can also talk with potential public book-buyers, sign books, etc. It sounds like they really do a nice job with it, and there will be door prizes and such. I will also probably attend the Sun., Dec. 7 event, although just as an interested party and member of the public.
Our other bookstore, Barnes & Noble, doesn’t have a local author’s section. But Katydid is for sale on the B&N website as a paperback and an e-book format Nook Book. (it can’t be in stores because they can’t return them if they don’t sell because they are Print-On-Demand (POD))
